Appointment definition
Design-basis review, a code and authority criteria register, and a responsibility matrix agreed with the originating designer and the owner before work begins.
Local professional responsibility and the authority-facing controls that go with it — taken only within applicable licences, individual authorisations and a defined appointment.

International and out-of-Kingdom design teams often need a local practice to carry professional responsibility for the design as submitted to the authorities. That role is not a formality: it carries statutory duties, signing and endorsement obligations, and liability that lasts beyond the project.
Crown Circle takes architect-of-record and discipline-specific engineer-of-record appointments only where the licence, the individual authorisation of the assigned engineer, the insurance and the appointment allow it. Eligibility is reviewed and documented before any commitment is given.
Where a requested role falls outside what we are authorised to carry, we say so at the outset rather than accept and qualify it later.
Every item is confirmed against licence, authorisation and insurance before it is included in an appointment.
Design-basis review, a code and authority criteria register, and a responsibility matrix agreed with the originating designer and the owner before work begins.
AOR and discipline-specific EOR roles taken only within applicable licences and the individual authorisations of the engineers assigned to the project.
Submission planning and coordination, responses to authority comments, permit applications and approval tracking — where we are authorised to act.
Controlled revisions, a design-change log, and a complete record of RFIs and technical submittals, so the basis of every approved change is traceable.
Design coordination during construction and close-out support, where that scope is included in the appointment.
Signing, endorsement, statutory duties, insurance and authority limits are defined and agreed in writing before work starts, not negotiated mid-project.
Before an AOR or EOR appointment is offered, we verify the applicable licence and classification, the individual authorisation of each assigned engineer, professional indemnity cover, and the scope the authority will actually expect us to carry.
Send the project, the discipline and the submission authority, and we will tell you whether the role is one we can take — and if not, what would need to be in place.
Request an eligibility reviewTypical outputs. The exact list is defined in the appointment and varies with discipline and authority.
Tell us the discipline, the authority and the stage the design has reached, and we will review whether the role fits our licences.
